Why don't we sell Nail Forms or Polygel?
At Gelous, we're all about making nail care simple and safe for everyone. With our products designed for at-home use, we believe that certain techniques such as creating extensions with nail forms or using Polygel, are best left in the hands of professionals. These methods are not as intuitive as applying Gel Nail Polish, and without the right training, it’s easy to encounter challenges. With thicker consistencies, it’s easier to accidentally flood product around the cuticles, which can lead to issues like over-filing and skin irritation. Additionally, there are a lot of elements that go into creating a beautiful extension that is easy for someone untrained to get wrong.
Instead of risking it as a DIYer, we recommend focusing on nurturing your natural nails. Our Rubber Base Coats and Builder Gels are fantastic for keeping your nails strong and promoting nail growth. Paired with regular use of Cuticle Oil, Hand & Nail Treatments, and ensuring the correct removal process is followed, you'll see beautiful results in no time.
Why don’t we sell pure Acetone?
While it's effective at removing Gel Nail Polish, pure acetone is harsh on your skin and nails. It tends to dehydrate the nail bed and cuticles, leaving your nails dry and brittle. Additionally, prolonged exposure to pure acetone can cause discomforting symptoms like headaches, dizziness, and nausea.
Instead, we've formulated our Gel Nail Polish Remover with lower volumes of acetone and blended in soothing ingredients like Green Tea, Peach, Eucalyptus and Safflower. This gentler formula effectively removes nail polish while keeping your nails and skin more nourished.
We also offer an Express Gel Nail Polish Remover and an E-File Pen as alternatives to your standard soak-off removals. With Gelous, you have access to a range of safe and effective solutions designed to keep your manicure routine enjoyable and your nails healthy.
Why don’t we sell high-powered E-Files?
While high-powered E-Files are excellent tools for experienced professionals, we've chosen not to offer them. Instead, our E-File Pen is designed with at-home users in mind, featuring a maximum speed of 15,200 RPM—ample and fast enough for all your gel nail needs without compromising safety. Crucially, it’s also important you have the right support when learning to use an E-File, as mistakes like using the wrong grit, speed, direction, or pressure can lead to nail damage.
Our E-File Pen is thoughtfully designed to be user-friendly, with our range of Drill Bits only featuring Fine and Extra Fine grits, along with comprehensive video tutorials to ensure you feel confident and well-guided.
